Bellavista is more than a winery—it is the audacious dream Vittorio Moretti brought to life in the 1970s, in the heart of Franciacorta’s morainic amphitheater. At the time, few looked at this quiet Lombard hillside and imagined it could rival Champagne. Moretti did. With an architect’s vision and a dreamer’s instinct, he shaped Bellavista into Italy’s distinctive expression of méthode champenoise—one with its own unmistakable voice.

Today, the estate encompasses 200 hectares divided into 147 meticulously mapped vineyard parcels, offering winemaker Mattia Vezzola an extraordinary palette of terroirs. Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, and Pinot Bianco flourish together, each cultivated with the precision of a finely tuned instrument.

The wines are graceful and exacting—opera captured in a bottle—while each cuvée is composed like a symphony, layer by layer, note by note. Bellavista pioneered Satèn, the silky blanc de blancs style, then shared the category with Franciacorta instead of keeping it for itself. That generosity says everything.

Bellavista’s wines share the spotlight with the world’s greatest tenors: each December, its Millesimato Brut is poured on opening night at Teatro alla Scala. Vittorio Moretti, a lifelong admirer of opera and beauty, created the winery with the same sense of drama, refinement, and elegance celebrated onstage.
