Founded in 1899 by two adventurous Piedmontese men – engineer Sella and lawyer Mosca – this Sardinian estate is one of Italy’s most historic and expansive wine properties. Situated near Alghero on the island’s northwest coast, Sella & Mosca transformed wild, uncultivated land into a flourishing vineyard. Today, it remains one of the largest contiguous estates in Europe, with over 550 hectares under vine.

The winery’s story is intertwined with Sardinia’s identity. Its vineyards are caressed by mistral winds, rooted in ancient marine soils, and kissed by Mediterranean sun. Here, native grapes like Vermentino, Cannonau, and Carignano reach their full expressive potential. The estate practices sustainable viticulture and has a long-standing commitment to preserving local biodiversity.

Their La Cala Vermentino DOC is a crisp, mineral-driven white with zesty citrus and herbaceous notes – perfect for seafood. The Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is a bold red with dried cherry, spice, and earthy tones, ideal for pairing with grilled meats.

Sella & Mosca blends innovation with deep roots in tradition. With over 120 years of history, the winery continues to be a proud ambassador for Sardinia, bringing its island terroir to the world in every bottle.
