La Cala Vermentino DOC is Sella & Mosca’s brilliant interpretation of Sardinia’s coastal magic in white wine form. Vermentino, the region’s signature white grape, finds its most vibrant voice along the island’s northwestern shores near Alghero. Here, the proximity to the sea, limestone-rich soils, and steady mistral winds produce grapes with exceptional freshness and mineral tension.

La Cala is named after the inlets and coves that define Sardinia’s jagged coastline. The wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve purity and aged briefly on the lees for added complexity. In the glass, it bursts with aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, white peach, and Mediterranean herbs like sage and thyme. The palate is saline and zesty, with a crisp structure and a long, clean finish.

This wine is tailor-made for food. It’s a perfect match for shellfish, crudo, grilled octopus, or even a simple plate of spaghetti alle vongole. It also works beautifully as an aperitif, offering a refreshing alternative to heavier whites.

La Cala is more than a summer sipper—it’s a reflection of Sardinia’s identity. With its bright acidity, savory character, and island soul, it brings the essence of the Mediterranean straight to your glass, no matter where you are.
