Pietro dal Cero Amarone della Valpolicella is more than a red – it is a tribute, named for the patriarch whose dedication continues to inspire the Dal Cero family’s winemaking philosophy.

Sourced from estate vineyards in Luxinum at Pian di Castagnè, the grapes are meticulously selected and dried via appassimento before fermentation, then spent two years in barriques, twelve months in stainless steel, and a further two years in bottle.

What emerges is an Amarone of rare freshness, intensity, and finesse – deep ruby in color, with a powerful nose of black cherry, chocolate, and sweet spice that evolves as the wine breathes, revealing notes of balsamic, aniseed, and wild mint. On the palate it is both robust and graceful: taut acidity, refined tannins, remarkable mineral clarity, and a finish that lingers with whispers of coffee and sweet tobacco.

Critics and collectors alike have celebrated it: vintages such as 2016 earned top Gold medals, while both 2017 and 2018 vintages scored in the mid‑90s. It conveys the drama of Valpolicella – its history, its soil, its sun – in every intense sip, offering a rare combination of power and polish that calls for slow cooked meats, aged cheeses, and patient cellaring.
